Eligible Providers

Only obstetricians (OBs) are eligible to participate in the Sunshine Health C-Section Birth Incentive Program. No other provider specialties are included under this incentive structure.

Minimum Delivery Requirement

To be eligible for an evaluation, providers need to perform at least 25 deliveries every three months.To be eligible for an evaluation, providers must provide at least 25 deliveries for every quarter. This requirement is held on a quarterly basis and will be the basis for incentive consideration throughout the year. 

Sunshine Health Incentive Payment Structure and TIN-Based Distribution

There is an incentive payment that is quarterly qualified but paid on an annual basis. Payment allocation is also linked to the provider or group's Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to guarantee consolidated payment at the organization level.

Obstetricians who meet their region C-section birth goal receive $500 per quarter. The incentive amount is calculated and paid annually on all qualifying quarters, but is measured on a quarterly basis.
